Shining Moments - Interior Design, 2003
"By far the city's finest hotel, this sleek lodging
is contemporary to the core. The design is tops - from
the wood-grain wall coverings to the flat-screen TVs -
and the service equals it. Cosmos, the hotel's
restaurant, is among the best in town and offers a
lively bar scene."
~ House Beautiful Magazine, New York, September 2005

Places
To Stay - Graves 601 Hotel Minneapolis
"the hotel's hybrid of SoHo slick and Minnesota nice,
turning Graves 601 and its restaurant, bar and nightclub
into the weekend spot for the local über-hip."
~ NEAL KARLEN,
New York Times, December 7, 2003
"The first North American branch of Graves 601's new Art
Tech properties, this 255-room downtown hotel blends de
rigueur aesthetics (blond-wood walls, mod '60s-style
furniture), luxury-hotel amenities (a gym, a spa), and local
flavor (photos by area artists). The result is extreme
comfort in a postmodern package that ranks alongside hot
spots in New York and London-but at half the price."
~ Conde
Nast Traveler
"The staid Midwestern hotel bar gets a shot of stylish,
youthful energy at the Infiniti Room, the ground-floor
nightclub at the equally buzzy Graves 601 Art Tech hotel
downtown (see the Hot List hotel review)."
~ Conde Nast
Traveler
"Owned by Graves Hospitality, the building looks as
unremarkable on the outside as it is spectacular within"
~
Interior Design Magazine, by Kendell Cronstrom, October 1,
2003
"A street-level elevator takes you up to the Blade Runner-esque
4th floor lobby, where you'll swear you've entered a galaxy
far, far away."
~ Margaret Jaworski, Family Circle, January
20, 2004
"the most prestigious and important multi-million dollar new
hotel in the whole entire history of the whole entire North
Star State."
~Dara Moskowitz, City Pages
"set new local standards for gastronomic extravagance"
~
Jeremy Iggers, Star Tribune, 7/10/03
Chef Seth Bixby Daugherty managed to draw all eyes at my
table away from the most breathtaking dining room in
Minnesota with this one dish: Veal cheeks braised in red
wine and set in a lentil stew thickened with foie gras.
Tasting this tender, beyond tender dish was like floating
along on a velvet tide.
~ Dara Moskozitz, City Pages,
December 31, 2003
A beautiful room that's like a temple to Modernism and Wood,
service that's so well carried out it's practically
invisible, a truly reliable service of all three meals a
day. Cosmos is the first restaurant in Minnesota to really
just be a restaurant in every dimension.
~ Dara Moskozitz,
City Pages, December 24, 2003
"And now there's a place to stay that captures the spirit of
the city."
~ Marion Times, 7/10/03
"Something quite cosmopolitan, memorable, but not foreign to
any cultures."
~ Mary Mark, Yabu Pushelberg, Hospitality
Design, August 2003
"the first truly modern statement in the local hospitality
industry..."
~ Adam Platt, Mpls/St. Paul Magazine, August
2003
